A staged reading presented on March 21, 2025 at the Helen Gardiner Phelan Playhouse. Set in Toronto (2024), Presence of an Absence follows a collective of emerging Iranian playwrights who gather to unearth and revisit early 20th-century works by women playwrights—tracing how censorship, inheritance, and displacement echo across time and into the present.
